In December 2023, Ascent Classical Academy of Douglas County (ACADC) was recognized as one of thirteen schools that received a “Performance with Distinction” rating for the 2022-2023 academic year by its authorizer, the Colorado Charter School Institute (CCSI). The performance rating is awarded to schools based on the combination of academic, financial, and organizational performance in a given year.
As stated by the CCSI, all recipients of this distinction “Rank[ed] in the top 25% of all schools in Colorado with reportable academic data and have demonstrated strong financial and organizational performance as well.” We are honored by this recognition, which places an Ascent Classical Academy among the highest-ranked schools in the state of Colorado.
The Douglas County campus was the first campus opened and operated by Ascent Classical Academies (ACA), a charter management organization based out of Golden, Colorado. During the 2022-2023 school year, ACA also operated a campus in Windsor, Colorado. In Fall 2023, ACA launched two additional campuses in Brighton and Grand Junction, Colorado, and is currently working toward Fall 2024 openings in Irmo and Fort Mill, South Carolina.
