Ascent Classical™ Academies (ACA) announces the hiring of Jon Dahlberg as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This comes ahead of expansion operations in South Carolina, where ACA will open two new campuses in Fall 2024 with approval to open more schools in the coming years.
Jon Dahlberg brings more than thirty years of financial experience to Ascent Classical™, including more than twenty years in consumer banking and upwards of ten years in charter school financing and facility acquisition.
Dahlberg’s experience in consumer banking includes twelve years at Wells Fargo in a variety of influential roles, three years as Senior Vice President with Bank of America, and an additional four years at Wells Fargo in the role of Senior Vice President. Dahlberg most recently held the position of Vice President of Strategic Relationships and Facilities with Grow Schools (formerly Charter School Capital) where he worked for over a decade. In this role, Jon combined his expertise in finance with his passion for the betterment of society, working with charter schools to secure funding and facilities. While in this role, he launched a facilities platform for Grow Schools, building a team from the ground up, before moving into a role in business development where he negotiated the arrangements for the purchasing, selling, and leasing of properties.
Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dahlberg earned his degree in accounting from Bethel University. Today, Jon enjoys staying active outdoors by golfing, hiking, and doing CrossFit. He also enjoys traveling with his family. Jon and his wife have been married for 31 years and currently reside in North Carolina with their dog, Cody. They have two adult children.
